Yes, as long as the bar is showing red, you need to do some manual work.

Just install the Thinka Companion App, choose or create a Home and click on 'Add Accessory'.

On your Thinka, goto Settings -> Smart Support, then "Start Thinka Staff Support"

Thinka uses DHCP, you can configure the IP address on your router.

What versions of Thinka exist?

Currently we only have one version: Thinka for KNX (HKV1.1 and HKV1.2)

How many accessories can Thinka control?

The limit of 150 accessories in practice means you can have a multitude of group addresses

What languages does Siri speak?

English, German, Dutch, Swedish, Italian, Russian and many more.

What HomeKit types does Thinka support?

We support a whole array of devices. Check this article for the whole list.

Do I need to configure my network for Thinka?

No, Thinka uses DHCP. Thinka does not need to have internet access.

What is WindowCovering?

(Venetian) Blinds, Shades and Curtains.

Do you support Venetian blinds?

Yes, we do, you can control up and down as well as the angle of the blinds.

What is the beta channel?

We have a beta channel for evaluation of new and experimental features.

When will Thinka for KNX be in stock again?

We expect to start selling Thinka for KNX again early 2023

How do I turn on my lamps?

First of all make sure your lamp is configured properly in Thinka.

The ETS import in Thinka does not find my group address

The better the ETS file is organized the more we will find

No, we will keep all new information separate in a room called "Review room".

Can I use ETS3 or older project to configure Thinka?

We only support ETS4, ETS5 and ETS6

Yes, you can. You can mix all these assistants.

No, you can not. Because HomeKit requires different hardware but we do offer an upgrade.

Does Thinka support geolocation?

Yes, we do via HomeKit or Alexa.

The "Thinka for KNX" Alexa is skill is not available in my country

Thinka only supports English (US, UK, AU, CA, IN), German, French, Italian and Spanish.

Can I have a permanent VPN connection?

For security reasons Thinka VPN connections are temporary, and limited to 7 days.

How do I dim my lights?

First of all make sure your lamp is configured properly in Thinka as a lightbulb.

Can I ask for the temperature of my heating?

Yes, just say "Ok Google" or “Hey Google," then "What's the temperature in the Living Room?"

How do I close my curtains?

First of all make sure your curtain is configured properly in Thinka as a window covering

How do I set my thermostat with Apple Siri?

First of all make sure your thermostat is configured properly in Thinka as a Thermostat.

Can I ask for the temperature of my heating?

Yes, just ask “Hey Siri, what is the temperature in here?”.

Can I control my home remotely?

Yes, With the Home app, you can set up a home hub to control your HomeKit accessories remotely.

We decided to use a Switch because then you can control it from the app.

How do I configure an Outlet?

An outlet is very similar to a Switch, and is configured the same way.

How do I connect my Thinka to my Amazon Echo?

You need to have an Amazon Echo properly working in your home.

How do I share the diagnostics?

Go to your Thinka's web interface, click on Settings and then support, then on "Export Diagnostics"

I have a Thinka for Echo. Can I get Google Home too?

No, only the HomeKit version offers Google Home support.

Can I control my door, door lock or window with Thinka?

No, unfortunately Apple does not allow to bridge any devices that allows access to your Home.

What's the App that you show on your website that runs on a TV?

How do I set my thermostat with Amazon Alexa?

First of all make sure your thermostat is configured properly in Thinka.

I bought an upgrade to PRO, how can I use it?

Thinka for KNX PRO will self install and be available next day or after restart.

How do I configure my Air-conditioning?

Air conditioning (airco) is actually a Thermostat. Choose Thermostat and HVAC mode 20.105.

I have a Thinka for Echo. Can I get Olisto too?

No, only the HomeKit version offers Olisto support.

I bought a Thinka with PRO functionality. Is the PRO Software shipped with the product?

You will receive a mail with instructions on how to activate the Thinka PRO functionality.

How do I set my thermostat with Google Assistant?

First of all make sure your thermostat is configured properly in Thinka.

A valve has two objects that need to be configured.

Thinka uses Apple HomeKit's definition of up/down. Up is 100% (all light) and Down is 0% (no light).

Unfortunately you can only see an icon for curtains or blinds in the Google Home App.
